English Sentence Corrections – Episode 6 (Telugu)

ఈ పాఠంలో మీరు చేసే సాధారణ preposition తప్పులు సులభంగా సరిచేయటం నేర్చుకుంటారు. ప్రతి ruleకి తెలుగులో అర్థం, ఉదాహరణలు, pronunciation (how to speak) కూడా ఇచ్చాం — layman కూడా నేర్చుకునే విధంగా.

📘 Topic: Preposition Mistakes (in / on / at / to / for / by / from)

1️⃣ IN / ON / AT – Time Usage (సమయానికి)

❌ Wrong: I will meet you on evening.
✔ Correct: I will meet you in the evening.

❌ Wrong: The exam is in Monday.
✔ Correct: The exam is on Monday.

❌ Wrong: He arrived in 5 PM.
✔ Correct: He arrived at 5 PM.

⏳ Easy Rule (తెలుగు):
at → ఖచ్చితమైన సమయం (ఉదా: at 6 PM)
on → రోజు / తేదీ (ఉదా: on Monday)
in → నెల / సంవత్సరం / కాలం (ఉదా: in July, in 2025)

2️⃣ IN / ON / AT – Place Usage (స్థలానికి)

✔ Correct: He is in the room.
✔ Correct: He is in the car.

❌ Wrong: He is on the car.
✔ Correct: He is in the car.

📍 Easy Rule (తెలుగు):
in → కప్పిన స్థలం (room, house, car)
on → ఉపరితలం (table, roof, wall)
at → ప్రత్యేక బిందువు / స్థానం (at the bus stop)

3️⃣ TO / FOR – Destination vs Purpose (దిశ / ఉద్దేశ్యం)

❌ Wrong: This gift is to you.
✔ Correct: This gift is for you.

❌ Wrong: I came for Hyderabad.
✔ Correct: I came to Hyderabad.

🎯 Rule (తెలుగు):
for → ఉద్దేశ్యం (gift కోసం, work కోసం)
to → దిశ / గమ్యం (go to school)

4️⃣ BY / FROM – Doer vs Source (ఎవరు చేసారు / ఎక్కడి నుంచి)

❌ Wrong: This work was done from me.
✔ Correct: This work was done by me.

❌ Wrong: I bought this by a shop.
✔ Correct: I bought this from a shop.

🎯 Rule (తెలుగు):
by → చేసిన వ్యక్తి
from → వచ్చిన మూలం

📝 Tip (తెలుగు): Spoken Englishలో extra prepositions ఎక్కువగా వాడటం తప్పు.

ఇంగ్లీష్ accents మెరుగవ్వాలంటే రోజుకు 5–7 నిమిషాలు mirror ముందు ప్రాక్టీస్ చేయండి.

V → “వి” (upper teeth + lower lip)
W → “వ్ / వు” (round lips)
