 Rule 1: “Try my best” – Modern English

❌ തെറ്റ്: I will try my level best.

✔ ശരി: I will try my best.

എന്തിന്? Modern English-ൽ short & clear sentences ആണ് natural.

Example: I will try my best to complete it.Phonetics: “ഐ വിൽ ട്രൈ മൈ ബെസ്റ്റ്”

 Rule 2: “On time” vs “In time”

❌ തെറ്റ്: I reached in time for the meeting.

✔ ശരി: I reached on time for the meeting.

വ്യാഖ്യാനം:

• On time = കൃത്യ സമയത്ത്
• In time = സമയം കഴിഞ്ഞതിന് മുമ്പ്

Examples:

• I reached on time for the meeting.
• I reached in time to help him.

Phonetics: “ஆன் டைம்” vs “இன் டைம்”

 Rule 3: “Discuss” + NO “about”

❌ തെറ്റ്: We discussed about the plan.

✔ ശരി: We discussed the plan.

എന്തിന്? “Discuss” എന്നതിൽ തന്നെ “about” എന്ന അർത്ഥം ഉണ്ട്.

Example: They discussed the problem yesterday.

Phonetics: “വി ഡിസ്കസ്റ്റ്ധ പ്ലാൻ”

 Rule 4: “Prefer + to” – Fixed grammar rule

❌ തെറ്റ്: I prefer tea than coffee.

✔ ശരി: I prefer tea to coffee.

എന്തിന്? Prefer കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ എപ്പോഴും “to” വേണം.

Example: I prefer reading to sleeping.

Phonetics: “ഐ പ്രഫർ ടീ ടു കോഫി”

❌ തെറ്റ്: I didn’t told you.

✔ ശരി: I didn’t tell you.
