- Day 2: Positive sentences (verb + s / es)
- Day 3: Negative sentences (do not / does not)
- Day 4: Yes / No questions (Do / Does)
👉 Now in Day 5, we move to a very important step:
❓ Asking detailed questions using WH words
❓ What are WH Questions?
Questions that begin with WH words are called WH Questions.
We use them to:
- Ask about actions or things
- Ask for reasons
- Ask about time and place
- Ask about people
- Ask about methods or manner

WH Word + do / does + subject + base verb + ?
⚠️ Even when a WH word is used, do / does must be present (except WHO).

What does he teach?
🔹 WHERE
- You work here.
Where do you work? - She lives in Hyderabad.
Where does she live?
🔹 WHEN
- You go to the office.
When do you go to the office? - He comes daily.
When does he come?
🔹 WHY
- You learn English.
Why do you learn English? - She studies hard.
Why does she study hard?
🔹 HOW
- You do this work.
How do you do this work? - He manages time.
How does he manage time?
SPECIAL CASE — WHO
In WHO questions, do / does is NOT used
- Who teaches English? ✅
- Who works here? ✅
❌ Who does teach English? (Wrong)
👉 Because WHO itself acts as the subject.
Common Spoken Mistakes (Avoid These)
- ❌ What you do?
✅ What do you do? - ❌ Where she works?
✅ Where does she work? - ❌ Why he comes late?
✅ Why does he come late?
Answering WH Questions
WH questions do not take
Yes / No answers.
They need meaningful answers.
- What do you do?
👉 I am a teacher. - Where do you live?
👉 I live in Hyderabad.
