இந்த பாடத்தின் முடிவில் நீங்கள்:

• Past Continuous Tense-ல் Yes / No Questions உருவாக்குவது எப்படி என்பதை தெளிவாக அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்

 Yes / No Question – அடிப்படை அமைப்பு

Was / Were + Subject + Verb + ing ?

👉 Past Continuous Question-ல் was / were sentence-ன் தொடக்கத்தில் வரும் 👉 Main verb எப்போதும் ing form-ல் தான் இருக்க வேண்டும்

Positive sentence:

• She was reading a book.

Question:

• Was she reading a book?

  👉 நான் ஆங்கிலம் படித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேனா?
• Was he working yesterday night?
  👉 நேற்று இரவு அவன் வேலை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தானா?
• Was she cooking food at that time?
  👉 அந்த நேரத்தில் அவள் சமைத்து கொண்டிருந்தாளா?
• Were they playing cricket?
  👉 அவர்கள் கிரிக்கெட் விளையாடிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களா?
• Were we travelling by bus?
  👉 நாம் பஸ்ஸில் பயணம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தோமா?

 Time Words உடன் Yes / No Questions

• at that time
• yesterday evening

• when

Examples:

Was he sleeping at that time?
Were they watching TV yesterday evening?
Was she talking on phone when you called?

Answers – Yes / No எப்படி பதில் சொல்வது?

Yes / No Questions-க்கு பதில்:

• Yes + Subject + was / were
• No + Subject + was / were + not

Question: Was she studying?
Answer: Yes, she was.
Answer: No, she was not.
