๐ VWAP & Volume Strategy
Institutional Confirmation for Intraday Trading
What is VWAP?
VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) shows the average price at which institutions trade. It acts as a dynamic support and resistance level.
VWAP = Institutional Control Line
How to Read VWAP
- Price above VWAP → Buyers in control (Bullish)
- Price below VWAP → Sellers in control (Bearish)
- Price near VWAP → No clear direction (Avoid)
VWAP chop zone = No trading zone
๐ VWAP Behavior (Trend vs Trap)
Trend Day:
- Price stays above VWAP (uptrend)
- Or stays below VWAP (downtrend)
- Respect VWAP on pullbacks
Trap Day:
- Price crosses VWAP multiple times
- No respect for VWAP
- Sideways movement
๐ What is Volume?
Volume shows the strength behind a price move.
- High volume → Strong move
- Low volume → Weak move
Volume = Truth of market
Volume Confirmation
- Breakout + High volume → Valid move
- Breakout + Low volume → Fake move
๐ VWAP + Volume Combo
The best trades happen when both align:
- Price above VWAP + High volume → Strong Buy
- Price below VWAP + High volume → Strong Sell
VWAP + Volume = Confirmation

- Price above VWAP
- Pullback to VWAP
- Bullish candle forms
- Volume increases
Entry: Above confirmation candle
Stop Loss: Below VWAP
Sell Setup

- Overtrading in sideways market
๐ Final Checklist
- Is price above or below VWAP?
- Is volume increasing?

If ANY answer is NO → WAIT
