Format: ❌ Wrong → ✅ Correct → Malayalam explanation → Pronunciation (Roman Malayalam)
❌ Wrong: I am agree with your point.
✅ Correct: I agree with your point.
Malayalam: agree, know, like പോലുള്ള stative verbs continuous രൂപത്തിൽ വരില്ല.
Pronunciation: "ഐ അഗ്രീ വിത് യോർ പോയിന്റ്"
❌ Wrong: If I will get time, I will come.
✅ Correct: If I get time, I will come.
Malayalam: First conditionalൽ if-clause simple present ആയിരിക്കും.
Pronunciation: "ഇഫ് ഐ ഗെറ്റ് ടൈം, ഐ വിൽ കം"
❌ Wrong: He avoids to answer the question.
✅ Correct: He avoids answering the question.
Malayalam: avoid പോലുള്ള verbs gerund (ing form) ആണ് എടുക്കുന്നത്.
Pronunciation: "ഹീ അവോയിഡ്സ് ആൻസറിങ് ദ ക്വഷൻ"
❌ Wrong: She suggested to join the club.
✅ Correct: She suggested joining the club.
Malayalam: suggest ശേഷം gerund / that-clause ആണ് വരുന്നത്.
Pronunciation: "ഷീ സജെസ്റ്റഡ് ജോയിനിങ് ദ ക്ലബ്"
❌ Wrong: The reason is because he left.
✅ Correct: The reason is that he left.
Malayalam: reason + because redundancy; grammar തെറ്റാണ്.
Pronunciation: "ദ റീസൺ ഇസ് ദാറ്റ് ഹി ലെഫ്റ്റ്"
❌ Wrong: I look forward to meet you.
✅ Correct: I look forward to meeting you.
Malayalam: look forward to → preposition അല്ല; gerund വേണം.
Pronunciation: "ഐ ലുക്ക് ഫോർവേഡ് ടു മീറ്റിങ് യൂ"
❌ Wrong: He is knowing the answer.
✅ Correct: He knows the answer.
Malayalam: know ഒരു stative verb; continuous രൂപം വരില്ല.

✅ Correct: She almost finished the work.
Malayalam: exam/speakingൽ completion sense കാണിക്കാൻ "almost" കൂടുതൽ natural.

PART B — Phonetics Part-3 (Advanced)

1) Intonation — Rising / Falling
Yes/No questions → Rising. Statements / Wh-questions → Falling.
Practice: “Are you coming?” (rise) — “I am coming.” (fall) Roman Malayalam: “ആർ യൂ കമ്മിംഗ്?” — “ഐ ആം കമ്മിംഗ്.”
2) Linking & Reductions
connected speech ൽ words ഒന്നു പോലെ flow ചെയ്യും: “What are you doing?” → “Whaddaya doing?”
Roman Malayalam: “വാട്ട് ആർ യൂ ഡൂയിംഗ്?” → “വഡ്ഡയ doing?”
3) Weak Forms
to → /tə/ • have → /əv/ • and → /ən/ Real speaking naturalness ഇതിനാൽ ഉയരും.
“I want to go” → “I wanna go” Roman Malayalam: “ഐ വാന്ന ഗോ”
4) Stress & Meaning
Stress മാറ്റിയാൽ അർത്ഥവും മാറും: REcord vs reCORD, PREsent vs preSENT
5) Final consonant clarity
bad → bat എന്നതായി തെറ്റി പറയുന്നത് ഒഴിവാക്കണം.
6) Connected Speech Drill
Sentence: “I have to ask him about the plan.” Roman Malayalam: “ഐ ഹെവ് ടു ആസ്കിം അബൗട് ദ പ്ലാൻ”
