🎯 क्यों सीखना ज़रूरी है?

  • साफ़ अंग्रेज़ी बोलने से आत्मविश्वास बढ़ता है।
  • गलत उच्चारण → गलत अर्थ → गलत प्रभाव।
  • फोनेटिक्स से mother-tongue influence कम होता है।

 7 Common Mistakes (Wrong → Correct)

1) “Prefer to …” — not “Prefer than …”

❌ गलत: I prefer tea than coffee.

✔ सही: I prefer tea to coffee.

Hindi Phonetics: “आइ प्रिफर टी टू कॉफी।”

2) “Didn't + V1” — base verb

❌ गलत: I didn’t understood the lesson.

✔ सही: I didn’t understand the lesson.

Hindi Phonetics: “आइ डिडन्ट अंडरस्टैन्ड द लेसन।”

3) “Used to …” for past habits

❌ गलत: I am used to go to that school.

✔ सही: I used to go to that school.

Hindi Phonetics: “आइ यूज़्ड टू गो टू दैट स्कूल।”

4) “Despite …” — no “of”

❌ गलत: Despite of he was tired…

✔ सही: Despite being tired, he worked.

Hindi Phonetics: “डिस्पाइट बीइंग टायर्ड, ही वर्क्ड।”

5) “Let me know …” is more natural

❌ गलत: Inform me if any updates.

✔ सही: Let me know if there are any updates.

Hindi Phonetics: “लेट मी नो इफ देयर आर एनी अपडेट्स।”

6) “Supposed to …” — duty/expectation

❌ गलत: You are suppose to submit today.

✔ सही: You are supposed to submit today.

Hindi Phonetics: “यू आर सपोस्ट टू सबमिट टुडे।”

7) “Neither … nor …” (two negatives)

❌ गलत: I don’t like tea nor coffee.

✔ सही: I like neither tea nor coffee.

Hindi Phonetics: “नाइधर टी नॉर कॉफी।”

  1. I have been tired since morning.
    Phonetics: “आइ हैव बीन टायर्ड सिन्स मॉर्निंग।”
  2. I didn’t write the mail.
    Phonetics: “आइ डिडन्ट राइट द मेल।”
  3. She is my best friend, right?
    Phonetics: “शी इज़ माई बेस्ट फ्रेंड, राइट?”

🎤 Expanded Phonetics (Hindi Guide)

1) Slow-Mouth Blocks

Example: I prefer tea to coffee.

Blocks: I-prefer-tea / to-cof-fee

Hindi Phonetics: “आइ-प्रिफर-टी / टू-कॉफी”

2) Vowel Stretching

prefer → प्रि-FER (दूसरे हिस्से पर स्ट्रेस)

3) Word Stress

Examples: re-LAX, re-PORT, to-MOR-row

4) Silent Letters

  • know → नो
  • wrong → रॉन्ग
  • listen → लिसन
  • castle → कस्ल

5) Hindi-style Phonetics (Most useful)

  • I didn’t understand the lesson. → “आइ डिडन्ट अंडरस्टैन्ड द लेसन।”
  • Would you like to have some tea? → “वु्ड यू लाइक टू हैव सम टी?”

6) One-Minute Drill

  1. Sentence पढ़ें
  2. Blocks में तोड़ें
  3. धीरे दो बार बोलें
  4. नेचुरली दो बार बोलें
