Present Continuous Tense

Differences & Observations (Compared with Other Tenses)

1️⃣ Present Continuous vs Simple Present

Point	Simple Present	Present Continuous
Meaning	Habit / Routine	Happening now
Time sense	Always / Usually	Now / At the moment
Feeling	Permanent	Temporary / Live
Structure	Verb / Verb + s	am / is / are + verb + ing

Example:
I eat rice daily. (Habit)
I am eating rice now. (Happening now)

Observation:
Habit → Simple Present
Live action → Present Continuous

2️⃣ Present Continuous vs Present Perfect

Point	Present Continuous	Present Perfect
Focus	Action is going on	Action completed
Result	Not important	Important
Structure	am/is/are + ing	has/have + V3

Example:
I am writing a letter. (Still writing)
I have written a letter. (Finished)

Observation:
Continuous = process
Perfect = result

3️⃣ Present Continuous vs Past Continuous

Point	Present Continuous	Past Continuous
Time	Now	Past moment
Helping verb	am / is / are	was / were
Verb form	verb + ing	verb + ing

Example:
She is talking now.
She was talking yesterday at 6 PM.

4️⃣ Present Continuous Used for Near Future

Planned & fixed future actions కోసం కూడా Present Continuous వాడతాం.

I am meeting my friend tomorrow.
She is going to Delhi next week.

Observation:
Fixed plan + near future → Present Continuous

⚠️ 5️⃣ Common Confusions (Very Important)

కొన్ని verbs కి ing form వాడరు.

❌ I am knowing English.
✅ I know English.
