 Negative Sentence – Golden Formula

Subject + has not / have not + V³

👉 I / You / We / They → have not (haven’t)
👉 He / She / It → has not (hasn’t)

❌ Common Mistake #1 – Using “not” in wrong place

Wrong:

• ❌ I have finished not the work.
• ❌ She has eaten not food.

Correct:

• ✅ I have not finished the work.
• ✅ She has not eaten food.

 Tamil Explanation:
“not” எப்போதும் have / has க்கு பிறகே வர வேண்டும். Verb க்கு பின் “not” வராது.

Wrong:

• ❌ He have not completed the task.
• ❌ She have not called me.

Correct:

• ✅ He has not completed the task.
• ✅ She has not called me.

 Reminder:
He / She / It → has not
I / You / We / They → have not

❌ Common Mistake #3 – Using base verb instead of V³

Wrong:

• ❌ I have not do my homework.
• ❌ They have not finish the project.

Correct:

• ✅ I have not done my homework.
• ✅ They have not finished the project.

 Negative sentence ஆனாலும் V³ (past participle) கட்டாயம்.
