Day 4: Question Sentence Errors (Do / Does)
❓ Day 4 Correction ಏಕೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ?
Simple Present Tense-ನಲ್ಲಿ questions ಕೇಳುವಾಗ learners ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಈ correction lesson ಮೂಲಕ:
- Do / Does ಸರಿಯಾದ ಬಳಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ
- Question sentence structure ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ
- Spoken English-ನಲ್ಲಿ confidence ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ
Golden Rule (ಖಂಡಿತ ನೆನಪಿಡಿ)
Question Sentence =
Do / Does + Subject + Base Verb + ?
👉 Question sentence-ನಲ್ಲಿ verb-ಗೆ s / es ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Do / Does ಹೇಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು?
- Do → I / You / We / They
- Does → He / She / It
❌ Wrong → ✅ Correct (ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಗಮನಿಸಿ)

❌ Do she like coffee?
✅ Does she like coffee? -
❌ He does go to office?
✅ Does he go to office? -

ಈ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳು ಏಕೆ ಆಗುತ್ತವೆ?
ಬಹುತೇಕ learners:
- Question-ನಲ್ಲಿ verb-ಗೆ s / es ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ
- Subject ಬದಲಾಗುವಾಗ do / does ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲು ಮರೆತುಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ
- Statement structure-ನನ್ನೇ question ಆಗಿ ಬಳಸುತ್ತಾರೆ
👉 ನೆನಪಿಡಿ: Question sentence-ನಲ್ಲಿ helping verb ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.
Common Spoken Mistakes
- ❌ She does like tea?
✅ Does she like tea? - ❌ He do work here?
✅ Does he work here? - ❌ Do he plays cricket?
✅ Does he play cricket?

- Do she understand English?
- Does he works daily?
- He does come here?
