Positive Sentences (సానుకూల వాక్యాలు)
🎯 Day 3 యొక్క ముఖ్య ఉద్దేశ్యం
ఈ Day పూర్తయ్యే సరికి మీరు:
- Past Continuous Tense లో Positive sentences ను సులభంగా తయారు చేయగలుగుతారు
- Subject + was/were + verb+ing pattern పై పూర్తి నియంత్రణ పొందుతారు
- Spoken & Written English లో natural flow వస్తుంది
Basic Structure (Positive)
Subject + was / were + verb + ing
👉 ఇది Past Continuous Tense లోని అత్యంత ముఖ్యమైన positive form 👉 పని గతంలో కొంతకాలం కొనసాగుతూ జరిగింది అని చెప్పడానికి వాడతాం
Subject-wise Examples
- I was studying.
- He was working in the office.
- She was cooking food.
- It was raining heavily.
- We were discussing the problem.
- You were waiting for the bus.
- They were playing cricket.
⏰ Time-based Positive Sentences
Past Continuous ఎక్కువగా time words తో వస్తుంది:
- I was reading at 9 PM.
- She was sleeping at that time.
- They were working all night.
- We were travelling yesterday evening.

ఈ tense ప్రత్యేకత:
👉 పని పూర్తయిందా లేదా అనే విషయం కాదు 👉 ఆ సమయంలో జరుగుతుండటం ముఖ్యము
- I was writing a letter. → లేఖ రాస్తున్న దశలో ఉన్నాను
- She was learning English. → నేర్చుకుంటున్న ప్రక్రియలో ఉంది
🔗 Past Continuous + WHEN
- I was watching TV when the power went off.
- She was talking when the teacher entered.
- We were sleeping when the phone rang.
👉 Long action = Past Continuous 👉 Short action = Simple Past
🔗 Past Continuous + WHILE
- I was reading while she was cooking.
- They were playing while we were studying.
- Mother was praying while father was resting.
