Core Structure (Never Forget)

Subject + has / have + been + verb + ing

 Model 1 – Positive → Negative → Question

Base Sentence (Positive)

  • I have been studying English.

Negative

  • I have not been studying English.

Yes / No Question

 Model 2 – Using “since / for”

Positive

  • She has been working here since 2019.

Negative

  • She has not been working here since 2019.

Yes / No Question

  • Has she been working here since 2019?

WH Question

  • Since when has she been working here?

 Model 3 – Continuous Action Emphasis

Positive

  • They have been waiting outside.

Negative

  • They have not been waiting outside.

Yes / No Question

  • Have they been waiting outside?

WH Question

  • Where have they been waiting?
