๐ŸŽฏ Goal of Day 4

By the end of today’s lesson, you will be able to:

  • Form negative sentences confidently
  • Understand what exactly is not happening
  • Avoid common spoken and written mistakes

 Negative Sentence Formula

Subject + has / have + not + been + verb + ing

๐Ÿ‘‰ Main verb stays in -ing form

✍️ Basic Negative Examples

  • She has not been working this week.
  • They have not been following the rules.
  • We have not been practicing enough.

๐Ÿ‘‰ These sentences clearly show:

  • She has not been attending classes since Monday.
  • They have not been responding for hours.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Time words make the negative meaning stronger.

  • He hasn’t been answering my calls.
  • We haven’t been getting good results.
  • She hasn’t been coming to the office.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Short forms (haven’t / hasn’t) sound natural in speech.
