Day 1 to Day 6 – Step-by-Step Error Correction Practice

Rule:

Subject + was / were + verb + ing

  • ❌ I was play cricket.
    ✅ I was playing cricket.
  • ❌ She were reading a book.
    ✅ She was reading a book.
  • ❌ They was watching TV.
    ✅ They were watching TV.
  • ❌ He was write a letter.
    ✅ He was writing a letter.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Focus: correct helping verb + verb ending (-ing)


 Day 2 – Negative Sentence Corrections

Negative Structure:

Subject + was / were + not + verb + ing

  • ❌ I was not watch TV.
    ✅ I was not watching TV.
  • ❌ She were not sleeping.
    ✅ She was not sleeping.
  • ❌ They was not working.
    ✅ They were not working.

 Day 6 – Sentence Transformation Practice

Base Sentence: She was reading a book.

  • Negative: She was not reading a book.
  • Yes/No Question: Was she reading a book?
  • WH Question: What was she reading?

Base Sentence: They were playing outside.

  • Negative: They were not playing outside.
  • Yes/No Question: Were they playing outside?
  • WH Question: Where were they playing?
