Simple Present Tense — Day 3

Focus: Negative sentences • do / does logic • verb control • common spoken mistakes

ఈ పాఠం 6 రోజుల Simple Present Tense mastery series లో మూడవ రోజు — ఇక్కడ నుంచే చాలామంది learners తడబడతారు.

🎯 Day 1 & Day 2 నుండి గుర్తు చేసుకుందాం

✔ Simple Present అలవాట్లు, నిజాలు, శాశ్వత స్థితుల గురించి మాట్లాడుతుంది
✔ Subject ఆధారంగా verb మారుతుంది (s / es)
✔ Subjectను గుర్తిస్తే grammar సగం పూర్తైనట్టే

ఇప్పుడు మనం ఒక ముఖ్యమైన అడుగు వేస్తున్నాం:

👉 Positive వాక్యాల నుంచి 👉 Negative వాక్యాల వైపు

Negative Sentence అంటే ఏమిటి?

ఏ పని జరగదని, చేయనని, ఉండదని చెప్పే వాక్యమే Negative Sentence.

• I work daily. → I do not work daily.
• She plays cricket. → She does not play cricket.

ఇక్కడే చాలా confusion మొదలవుతుంది.

Simple Present Negative యొక్క అసలైన నిర్మాణం

Subject + do / does + not + base verb

ఇక్కడ రెండు కీలక పదాలు ఉన్నాయి:

do / does
base verb

👉 Negative sentence లో verb ఎప్పుడూ base form లోనే ఉంటుంది.

Rule 1: I / You / We / They → do not

• I do not like coffee.
• You do not understand the problem.
• We do not watch TV daily.
• They do not play cricket.

👉 Verb కి s / es ఉండదు 👉 ఎందుకంటే do already verb control తీసుకుంది

Rule 2: He / She / It → does not

• He does not work on Sundays.
• She does not like spicy food.
• It does not rain in summer.
• Ramesh does not speak Hindi.

👉 Positive లో works / plays
👉 Negative లో does not work / play

చాలా మందికి వచ్చే పెద్ద తప్పు

❌ He does not works here.
❌ She does not likes coffee.

✅ He does not work here.
✅ She does not like coffee.

👉 does వచ్చిన తర్వాత verb ఎప్పుడూ base form లోనే ఉండాలి.

ఒక సులభమైన లాజిక్ (Life-Saver Rule)

Positive sentence లో verb కి s / es ఉంటే Negative sentence లో do / does వస్తుంది

రెండూ ఒకేసారి రావు.

👉 works ❌ do not works 👉 does not work ✅

Spoken English లో నిజం

❌ He no work today.
❌ She not understand.

✅ He does not work today.
✅ She does not understand.

అర్థం వచ్చినా — సరైన English మాట్లాడాలంటే do / does తప్పనిసరి.

Thinking Practice (నెమ్మదిగా చేయండి)

• I ___ like tea.
• She ___ work on Sundays.
• They ___ understand the lesson.
• He ___ play mobile games.

👉 Verb మార్చకండి 👉 do / does మాత్రమే ఎంచుకోండి
